God of War: Ascension gets M for Mature rating from ESRB

Yesterday Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) revealed their rating summary for upcoming PS3 exclusive game "God of War: Ascension". The game received M for Mature rating suggesting that the game is suitable for Mature audiences.

God of War: AscensionThe reason behind Mature rating was God of War: Ascension content related to blood, gore, intense violence, nudity, and sexual content, however ESRB does not revealed additional details or circumstances in which these situations occur.

ESRB does note that God of War: Ascension includes online features that may expose players to unrated user-generated content (PlayStation 3).

God of War: Ascension is schedule to launch on March 12 for PS3. The game is a prequel to the first “God of War” and tells the tale of how Kratos frees himself from Ares’.
