Just a few hours ago Ubisoft announced brand new Assassin's Creed for 2013/14, set in new time period and developed by brand new team. Apart from this nothing was revealed as to what's the title of the game and so on?.
But according to reddit user "photoacoustic", this upcoming Assassin's Creed game will be called "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flags", and will launch in Holiday Season 2013.
Here is what "photoacoustic" has to say: "I was on a flight where the lady in the row in front of me was working on a powerpoint presentation on marketing strategies of several gaming titles. And one that stood out the most was AC4: Black Flags, aimed for release 2013 Holiday season according to her slide. It already had a cool looking logo for it.
Unfortunately I didn't take any photo, just wanted to share it with all the AC fans, and give those who are trying to figure out the next story line a little hint."
To this reddit user "apros" replied (in the comment section): "This part would fit nicely: "The Black Flag was flown by certain irregular Confederate Army units in the American Civil War of 1861-1865 to symbolize that they would neither give, nor accept quarter; symbolizing the opposite of the white flag of surrender." AC4 could be about Connor's descendant fighting in the Civil War. Lots of opportunities to involve historical characters (Lincoln, Grant, Lee, Davis) and to advance the story line."
In no way this is a confirmation of the title, and so we advice readers to take it with a grain of salt and consider it as rumor.
What do you think about this title "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flags", is it pirate-themed?. Let us know your views in the comment section below.
