GTA V: Sure and Shot Going to be the new undisputed King of Open World Genre
No doubt GTA V is going to be new undisputed king of open-world genre. The franchise has been around with us since 90's, and it has sold over 125 million units across the globe (life-time sales figure). The things players love about GTA series are freedom, plot and gameplay. Rockstar has handle all main entries in GTA series with an extra care, and has never ever "rehashed" to the point of redundancy like CoD or Madden.
Watch Dogs: Most Fearsome Competitor of GTA V
Watch Dogs is a ground-breaking open-world action-adventure game called designed by a team comprised of industry veterans from blockbuster franchises like Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow 6 and Far Cry. Watch Dogs blends cutting-edge technologies and sophisticated game design into a realistic and living open world where players must use any means at their disposal to take down a corrupt system.
The game is set in Chicago, and going by all the details we have seen so far in numerous gameplay demo, Watch Dogs looks innovative and tries to bring a never seen before spin in open-world action genre.
Ubisoft is making use of hacking gameplay as its main weapon for Watch Dogs. If everything goes perfectly for Watch Dogs and Ubisoft, the game could be one of the best open world game ever made, and also first killer IP of next-generation consoles.
So its possible that Watch Dogs could sell as much as GTA V. Ubisoft has a great IP that could move a lot of units if developed, marketed, and promoted right. In addition to this, Watch Dogs will launch on SIX different consoles. But if Rockstar and Take-Two decide to release GTA V on other platforms, all this thing will change dramatically.
We want to hear from you guys, Can Watch Dogs sell as much as GTA V? or GTA V going to blow Watch Dogs out of the water?.
