The Phantom Pain will be officially revealed at Game Developer Conference in San Francisco later this month, according to details revealed by Moby Dick Studio boss Joakim Mogren.
In a recent interview to GTTV, Joakim stated, "Yes, I plan on attending this show [GDC] coming up in San Francisco, but I don’t have anything to show today, unfortunately,"
"This year’s GDC show, I will have a new Phantom Pain trailer, and I can confirm that it will answer all of your questions."
When Geoff asked Joakim, whether The Phantom Pain is next-generation game?. To this he replied, "Unfortunately, I cannot confirm that."
Mogren also showed some new images and concept arts (you all can view them HERE) of The Phantom Pain to show host Geoff Keighley. The images features Fox Engine logo in the lower right corner. This confirms that The Phantom Pain is powered by Kojima's Fox Engine.
According to me, Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are one. There is no speaker/presenter listed as Joakim Mogren on the GDC 2013 website. Hideo Kojima will be showing off Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain...the game might be called "Metal Gear Solid 5".
