GTA V on Xbox 360: "For Optimal Performance Don't Install Play Disc Data" says Rockstar

Gamers who will be getting GTA V on Xbox 360, Rockstar Games has an important message for you. GTA V for Xbox 360 comes out on two disc, first one is "mandatory install" (8GB) and second one is "Play disc" (same 8GB in size).

GTA VRockstar Games has just stated via their Twitter account that Xbox 360 owners should not install "Play Disc" for optimal performance.

Furthermore, Rockstar Games has promised to reveal more details (via their support site) behind this warning at GTA V launch.

So guys if you are getting GTA V on Xbox 360, make sure you follow this guideline ("not installing play disc data") from Rockstar Games for optimal performance.

You can install your games on a USB stick. For games with a mandatory install from one disc and a play disc it is even recommended to install one disc on a USB stick and the mandatory part on the hard drive as the games are optimized for streaming from multiple sources (the USB will replace the DVD drive and still offer near silent operation).'s picture (not verified) posted on Mon, 2013-09-16 15:27
It means if we have Xbox 360 Arcade that doesn't have hard drive, we can't play GTA V? (Plaese answer)

You could use a minimum 16GB USB stick insted of a hard drive!
