Releasing on various platforms including PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, Raspberry Pi, Xbox 360, and soon on PS3, PS4, Vita, and Xbox One, Minecraft, a game about breaking and placing blocks, has got gamers all around the globe excited. But sadly it was not included in the recent wave of brand new Nintendo games, though it is said that this flaw will be corrected soon.
Sources reveal that Mojang is currently having Wii U dev kits. The game is also simultaneously in development for Xbox One and PS4. Mojang will be focusing on the GamePad for the Wii U version.
When, Mojang’s lead designer of Minecraft Pocket Edition, Jens Bergensten was asked about the possibilities after Microsoft’s exclusivity deal runs out, he said “Microsoft has an exclusivity deal for consoles. When it runs out we’ll consider Minecraft for PlayStation, but Wii U is very unlikely.”
The square world of Minecraft where even the sun refuses to rise as a globe of fire, releases for Wii U, Xbox One and PS4 in summer 2014. Around October 2013, Minecraft had reached 33 million sales. After the release of Xbox One, PS4, Vita, and Wii U versio, these figures are expected to increase with time.
