Tequila Works Re-Reveals Rime: Officially Coming To PC, PS4, X1 And Nintendo Switch
Deadlight developer Tequila Works has just re-revealed former PS4 Sony published exclusive game Rime as a multi-platform title for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game also received a brand new gameplay trailer, that luckily confirmed nothing of its original beauty got lost in translation since its first presentation.
The Spanish studio describes Rime as "a single-player puzzle adventure about discovery, experienced through the eyes of a young boy who awakens on a mysterious island after shipwrecking off its coast. Players must navigate the island’s secrets by making use of light, sound, perspective and even time".
"Inspired by the rugged, sunbaked terrain of the Mediterranean coast, Rime paints its breathtaking world with a fusion of vibrant colors and moving musical undertones to set the stage for the deeply personal journey that awaits within."
As you can see from the video below, Rime has many to share with Fumito Ueda's games, and back in the days it made a huge impact on gamers as they were still eagerly waiting for the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus follow up The Last Guardian. Now that The Last Guardian has shipped, of course, there's possibly less demand for similar productions, so Rime will really need to make a stand in order to convince us all it can make a difference when it ships in May.
