New Zelda: Breath of the Wild Reveals Zelda Ganondorf's Surname, Ganondorf Dragmire
It seems we have a new piece of information about The Legend of Zelda and specifically its lore, as the most recent Breath of the Wild guide features some tidbits regarding the villain Ganondorf. Interestingly, this villain has changed several times his appearance, but it looks like Nintendo has always considered it to be the same evil entity.
"Once known as the King of Thieves, Ganondorf Dragmire used the power of the Triforce to become the beast, Ganon," the guide's description of the series' big bad guy now reads. While this information is a bit unusual, it isn't the first time we see Ganondorf's surname discussed in an official Zelda guide since the series kicked off.
1991's A Link to the Past also refers to the thieving spellcaster as Ganondorf Dragmire, as noted by long time franchise fans on NeoGaf. On top of that, Shigeru Miyamoto recently noted that Link has a surname as well, which is (we don't know how much jokingly, by the way) "Link". So yeah, it'd be Link Link.
Sometimes I hope Nintendo never delivers such information...
