Kingdom Hearts III For Nintendo Switch? We Want PS4 And Xbox One Ports Out First, says Tetsuya Nomura
One good news that came out from D23 Expo 2017 was Kingdom Hearts III release window announcement. Square Enix finally revealed in which year Kingdom Hearts III is going to release worldwide. It's time to throw those annoying reports in the dustbin that stated Kingdom Hearts 3 is still three years away from release because Square Enix via a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III confirmed that the game is releasing in 2018. In addition to this, the new Kingdom Hearts III trailer confirmed the inclusion of the Toy Story universe in the game. You guys can watch the new trailer below.
Square Enix' Tetsuya Nomura also talked about the possibility of Kingdom Hearts III coming to Nintendo Switch. We didn't get the direct confirmation from Tetsuya Nomura but there was a clear hint that Kingdom Hearts III for Nintendo Switch is very much possible but post the launch of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.
Speaking to our friend at IGN, Nomura said: "The Nintendo Switch is definitely a very interesting piece of hardware. But if we lightly say, 'Oh yeah, we'll be on the Nintendo Switch,' I'm sure people will come back and say, 'But what about the PS4 and Xbox One? We want them out first. Don't focus on other platforms."
"So for now, we want to focus on what platforms we've already announced we're going to be releasing Kingdom Hearts 3 on, and so after, perhaps, maybe we can start thinking about other possibilities."
