Destiny 2 Beta PC vs PS4/XB1 Content Differences - New Map And More
Destiny 2 beta (private and open) is scheduled to give live on PC later this month. Today, Bungie revealed the details regarding the content that will be playable in Destiny 2 PC beta. Most of the things remains the same, apart from one thing: Destiny 2 PC beta will give player access to Homecoming Story Mission, Inverted Spire Strike, Countdown And Control multiplayer mode. The only change is that PC players will get to test a new map: Javelin-4. Players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were given access to Midtown map.
There was no clear confirmation from Bungie on whether or not the new Social Space in Destiny 2 will be accessible to PC players in beta. Bungie provided access to the Farm to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players during the beta, but it was made available for a very short time. However, there is no confirmation yet whether Bungie will provide the same treatment to beta testers on PC.
Lastly, Bungie revealed what exactly is their aim for the Destiny 2 PC beta. The studio wants to "test the functionality for Destiny 2 on a new platform, give PC players their first taste of Destiny 2 in action, and leave a world of surprises in store for the final version of the game."
Destiny 2 PC beta will start on August 28 only for players who pre-ordered the game. The open beta will start the next day i.e. on August 29 and it will end on August 31. - Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970, AMD Radeon R9 390
- RAM: 8GB
Bungie has put up few restrictions in Destiny 2 PC beta related to the use of common third-party game capture and voice chat apps. PC players will not be able to use FRAPS for frame-rate monitoring, OBS and XSplit will not function to it's full functionality.
