Skyrim PS3 install size revealed

A lucky anonymous gamer has already received a copy of Bethesda's upcoming RPG, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. As a proof of his claim the user send us the image below. The installation size of Skyrim on PS3 was also revealed. Skyrim will need a 5.5GB HDD space for installation.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim PS3 copy

The gamer mentioned that he purchased the copy of Skyrim from eBay, we investigated a bit to find or whether the claim is TURE or FALSE. Our investigation revealed that the claim is TRUE, some guys are indeed selling copy of Skyrim on eBay.

About Skyrim performance on PS3, the anonymous gamer said, "I’m not seeing any major differences, although I’m not very far in. The only annoyance I’ve encountered so far is that there’s a slight stutter for auto-saving. The first time it happened it lasted near 10 seconds and I thought the game had crashed, but in every other instance it’s only paused for a split-second. It sometimes auto-saves when you bring up there character menu, but you can set the gaps between auto-saves in the options, or turn them off altogether."

"It runs very smoothly, although there are a few flickering soft shadows which are a bit distracting and the scenery can look a little washed out at times, although that may just be the starting area. Walking out into the open for the first time wasn’t quite as impressive as it was with Oblivion, but on a whole it looks amazing."

Skyrim will launch on November 11 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

dude are you dumb, bethesda game studios is one of the strictest companies whenever it comes to keeping unreleased content from leaking to the public, Im sure they care about their fans but not enough to ship out 6,000 free copies to: "DEDICATED FANS", seriously man are you retarded.

Wow, considering the game went gold on Friday, it's amazing that they were able to print the discs, ship them, have someone put it up on e-bay and ship the disc to the "lucky" PS3 user, all over the span of a few days. I guess it's possible the discs were printed early and we're all getting a big patch on release date.

Obviously fake, not because of what he said about the game but because of the boxart. Only games with online features have the playstation network logo at the top, skyrim doesn't have online therefore it has to be a fake.

That's not true. Any game that uses the trophy system is linked to the play station network and will have that logo at the top of the game. You'll see in 5 days that your full of it.

Isn't it possible that DLC will be available in the future for it? Not trying to argue just asking!

Also, just to add on, Bethesda already announced the file has been compressed to around 6GB.

You're all weird. Actually you can, ever heard of reviewers? Newspaper Companies? IGN? Huston Chronicle? Yeah, they're just one of the few that got there game early. Also you say you can't get it early? Kmart sold MW3 Early ( 1 week before release) and everyday someone else makes the same mistake.

Why don't you do your research dumbass? You can go screw yourself if you think Bethesda gave out copies before release date. Think before you say stupid things. Also this dude didn't really get a copy of Skyrim. It's a fake. If you knew anything about TES you would know that. Fucking morons.

You obviously don't understand the logistics of selling products. I'm not saying this is a real copy, it could be fake, but it IS possible. Manufacturers don't run copies of games the night before, and deliver them overnight to the store and magically they are there the day of release. Wake up. Stores can receive these games up to two or three weeks before release with a label on the box that says "Do not put on shelves until . Some stores accidentally put them out early, which if that happens the store can be fined. Again, this could be a fake, but it is possible someone got an early copy of the game.

you can tell it's fake by what the guy said. The game doesn't stutter when auto-saving, flickering shadows, and the scenery looking washed out is impossible because its all hand drawn. Also what legend said.

The game actually does stutter when auto saving. I've seen the first half hour of gameplay. What he wrote about the game is legit.

It most likely stutters while auto saving b/c the game is taking a screen shot to accompany the save. This is not really a technical issue.

Also there are copies being sold but none that can be obtained before 11, and i'm betting the install size is gonna be larger

Fake, there is no possible way that someone could obtain a copy before 11 11 11. Anyone caught selling the game before release date would be sued by bethesda and information about every aspect of the game would be leaked over the internet, which i have not seen.
