This is an “open-world” adventure game in which players assume the role of Japanese gangsters battling a zombie apocalypse in Tokyo. Players can explore city streets as they follow different storylines and form alliances with various characters. Players use shotguns, machine guns, explosives, and melee weapons (chainsaws, crowbars) to kill waves of zombies and giant mutants. Battles are accompanied by realistic gunfire and exaggerated splashes of blood. Some weapons decapitate and/or dismember enemies, resulting in headless torsos and scattered body parts. During the course of the game, players can interact with various female characters in suggestive/sexual settings or sequences: a massage parlor attendant moans, stretches provocatively, and makes suggestive remarks (e.g., “Stop undressing me with your eyes . . .”); a woman in a hot tub says, “You’re welcome to peek”; a woman on a pool table poses suggestively as the camera pans slowly across her body. The game also briefly depicts a male character’s exposed buttocks. Some environments allow players to consume alcoholic beverages (e.g., whiskey, beer, champagne, sake) that temporarily improve fighting skills; a flashing bottle icon indicates players’ drunkenness levels.
