Earlier today an image arrived on internet revealing two new Zelda games for Nintendo 3DS titled as The Legend of Zelda: Fire Prophecy and Ice Prophecy. This image surfaced from 4Chan, and so many fans directly concluded that it's FAKE due to reputation of 4Chan.

Zelda 3DS RumorHowever many Zelda fans thought that the image is REAL because the logos appeared official. A Zelda dedicated website "Zeldadungeon" has done some investigation of the image and came to conclusion that it is indeed a FAKE.

Here is what Zeldadungeon said about the image.

"After examining the image again, freelance game translator GlitterBerri who can read and write Japanese fluently, confirmed that the rumor was indeed fake. You can find out how the titles are fake after the jump.

The problems with the titles are…

  • Using を instead of の, which renders it completely nonsensical
  • Writing “fire” in kanji and “ice” in katakana makes the titles inconsistent. They should either write both in katakana or both in kanji."

You can tell it's fake without knowing japanese. Get the logo from Ocarina of Time 3D And look at these logos and you can tell were somethings might have altered
