I've logged 10. Turn on the game and it turns off my ps3. Get to sit through corrupt file checks each time. That's what us people are 'freakin about'

I really dont mind if it takes them an extra month, As long as they get it right this time. You wouldnt want a patch that was on time, yet screwed stuff up.

As "Uhhh" said, the patch has not been delayed, Bethesda got it out in January as they promised, the only reasons consoles are not getting it in the same month is because Sony and Microsoft take a while to eventually release the submitted patch. If you're going to give out to anyone, it should be Sony and Microsoft, but honestly, it's a matter of one mere week difference. Are people really THAT picky?

How can it be delayed when it was never given an actual release date? Its not delayed for consoles at all. The patch has to be submitted to Sony and Microsoft for certification, while the PC patch can be released right away, directly from Bethesda. Console owners will see their patch roughly one week after it's submitted for certification.

Maybe you failed to read the various communications from Bethesda that says clearly, the patch will be out in January. Regardless, waiting for a fix on a broken game for so long isn't exactly studio-of-the-year stuff is it?

If you think this is long I would hate to know what you think of other studios' schedules. I've had to deal with a broken game (on a much worse scale than what is considered broken here) for longer than this without even ONE patch, let alone having the fourth on its way soon, and this was a big name studio I'm talking about. Would I have liked the patches to be out in a day (or better yet not be needed at all)? Of course, who wouldn't? Do I understand your frustration? Yes, I've been through it. However, I do think that Bethesda has at the very least met industry standards for this type of thing among big name western developers, if not exceeded it. Hopefully 1.4 will solve any issues you may be having. Happy gaming.

Who gives a about other studios? Yes i do think it's a long wait time because the game was released in november and i haven't been able to play it since november 30'th for fear of blowing my ps3 up. Shut up about shit you don't know about.

First off, calm down. There is no reason to be an ass on the internet over not being able to play a video game. I hope you have just as much passion about things that actually matter in life or I feel for you. Secondly, all I was saying to the person I replied to was if you think this is long then I wonder what you would call several other studios' support for a game after release (super long? Outrageously long?) and I really do wonder I am not mocking. There have been several games in similar shape (or sometimes even worse) released recently and over the course of this last console generation as a whole that have been in a pathetic state for months after release and some never get fixed at all. Is it right? No of course not. Do I absolutely hate it? Very much so. Like I said I wish games didn't need updates to fix bugs but companies feel they can ship stuff and just fix it later on their time (or should I say our time?) even if they are not ready. Then there are times that developers just make honest mistakes and don't catch something. Regardless of why it happens, it does happen, and we get shipped games with bugs in them and I was just pointing out to the person I responded to that this has become the norm these days for better or worse (in my opinion worse). He seemed to suggest that a studio with studio of the year honors would not take this long, and I was just mentioning that I felt that this was at the very least about normal for support of a game like this, but really I felt like it was faster than what I have dealt with with other studios in the past of similar caliber. This is just my opinion, but I can back it up with data from arguably the biggest RPG release of last year besides Skyrim. Is the speed Skyrim is being patched at great? By no means. However, I don't think it is bad enough that it would prevent a studio from getting studio of the year when most others have a similar wait for patches, that's all I was saying. Anyway, I hope 1.4 fixes any issues with Skyrim you have so that your PS3 will not blow up. And lets hope for a day when updates will only be for new content, and not to fix what they have already given us (not likely, but I can dream). Happy gaming. (Also, sorry for the wall of text to any that read this, doesn't look like breaks work on this site, or I just don't know how to make them do so)
