Skyrim: No High Resolution Texture Pack for PS3 and Xbox 360, DLC hinted

Bad news for Skyrim consoles gamer, as Bethesda has confirmed that Skyrim High Resolution Texture Pack will not come to PS3 and Xbox 360. This High Resolution Texture Pack is already out on PC.

SkyrimBethesda's Pete Hines explains the reason behind omission of High Resolution Texture Pack for PS3 and Xbox 360. He said, Skyrim PC gamers can easily max out their hardware with High Resolution Texture Pack. In simple terms, if the pack is release for PS3 and Xbox 360, players will face performance issue.

In other news Hines confirmed that DLC for Skyrim will launch at somepoint this year, and players should stay tuned for more updates on it.

Xbox and ps3 can't Handle the game as it is let alone it being high res, I think besth shud of kept working on skyrim a few more years (and fully complete and test) and release on the next gen consoles

i think you will find that they could certainly handle it, but the actuall problem with the console verions is that they are jam-packed full of bugs, and bringing it to console now would just make even more problems for them. as for them bringing it out later i dissagree to an extent. i think it definatley needed more testing before it was released, so a good 8-9 months more but not for a few years. besides, i have little faith in next gen consoles actually being much better unless they were released 8-10 years down the line. but thats just my opinion and i hope that i didnt sound too harsh.
