The Witcher 2 screenIn the video below, Jan Bartkowicz said, "We wanted The Witcher 2 to be a game that would pay homage to old-school RPG traditions,"

"Storywriter Jan Bartkowicz explains in the video. "A game that would offer plays lots of choices - choices through which they'd really impact narrative events and overall story progression. That's because we think true non-linearity is not about small choices - who you'll chose as your ally for instance. It has to extend to major decisions that propel the story towards completely different events or lead players to entirely different locations."

CD Projekt Red stated that The Witcher 2 for Xbox 360 features four different openings and 16 different ending, and all these gets affected by every steps players takes during gameplay.
