Sony has just released PS VITA firmware 2.00. The update is now available for download for all PS VITA owners across the globe.

Playstation VITA firmwarePS VITA firmware 2.00 brings Playstation Plus service to PS VITA. In addition to this, the update also add new Email app, group messaging and more.

To download the update all you need to do is restart your PS VITA, you will be greeted with a message to download firmware 2.00.

I updated and then tried to use the updated web browser. The system stalled for a bit, then froze completely. Thankfully it wasn't permanent... I didn't see any references to PS Plus in the Store; hopefully that will change tomorrow!
