Black Ops 2 Gamer Sets New Guinness Record, Played Continously for 135 Hours
The Guinness World Record for "Longest Video Game Marathon Session" has been broken by Okan Kaya (Sales Manager from Sydney).
Okan Kaya played Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for a record 135 hours straight. He began his gaming session on November 13 and kept going for five straight days, ending everything on November 19.
Kaya was allowed to take a break of 10 minutes per each hour session, a new rule from Guineness World Record after 18-year-old Taiwanese man collapsed and died after 40-hours of playing the game.
The previous record for a longest video game session was 120 hours 7 minutes, set a Canadian duo playing "Resistance" on PS3. Kaya's official time reads as "135 Hours and 50 Minutes".
