Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days PC, Xbox 360, PS3 Review

Kane and Lynch is back and this time they are back with a bang. The 2007's outing Kane and Lynch: Dead Men saw Kane as the main guy who was on the journey to save his family  but this time around its the Lynch  the star of the show in Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days. After the Venezula incident in Dead Men both parted their ways, Lynch shifted to Shanghai to start a new life with his so called girlfirend Xiu though his involvement with criminal activity continues as he work for a crime organization which is headed by English men Glazer. Glazer sends Lynch on a highly paid operation which involves smuggling on arms and ammunition (mostly guns) to Africa, Lynch calls up Kane for his help in the operation and in return a share in the deal.

The Ups

Awesome Third Person Shooting

Basically Dog Days is just about shooting each and everthing that move and comes your way, sounds pretty simple but there is lots more entertainting stuff included to make it worth a play. The gameplay is at its simplest form kill everyone in front and move on. if you are one of the die hard fans of third person shooting game title than this one is for you in its purest form. Split-screen and online co-op is also a plus point.

Arcade Mode of Gameplay

The online multiplayer mode of the game "Fragile Alliance" can be played in an offline which is Arcade mode along with bots. In fragile alliance gamers are the part of a team which are task with robbing a money. Make your way past various group of cops, get your hands on the cash and run away. The offline gameplay continues indefinitely until gamers three lives last. The points earned can be spent by the gamers to upgrade the weapons to combat the rising difficulty. The most interesting part is that players can double cross and ditch their teammates and make away with their money or earn bonuses taking out traitors. However the online comes with much more variants, twist and added features.

The Down

Its Just About Shooting and Shooting...

At some part the basic of the game (Third Person Shooting) is plus point and at many it is like a double edge sword. Dog Days is just about killing everything which after some point seems like a repetitive and whatmore boring is that there aren't any pick ups or saved for weapons that the enemies in the game drop. The weapons in the game are inaccurate at times the spot on kills goes of target even at shorter range.

Visual are UGLY

Many gamers going to claim that the YouTube aesthetic in the game is there to give ugly visual and they are not wrong. Going by all the presentation in the game all are very impressive apart from the visual. For example have a try watching any one character speak in between any mission, you will notice mouth doesn't move origincally and they opened and closed at random interval.

Senseless Story

At various points in the game yu will find you just can't  keep up with the gameplay, cause of this are many shaky camera or bad sound or bad visual. The story line of the game is senseless it is all about two men running all aorund the Shanghai and having no mercy for human life.

Conclusion:

Overall Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days stands firm on being on the the best third person shooting game titles with many more improvements included in it over its original title. The best part of the game is its multiplayer mode and the arcade mode. For us the title seems to be a bit highly priced at $60 but if you are hardcore fan of Third Person Shooting title than go for it.
