  • MoH: Warfighter Xbox 360 version may ship on TWO discs along with HD Texture, PS3 version looks GREAT

It seems like Xbox 360 version of upcoming shooting game "Medal of Honor: Warfighter" will ship on two disks. Back in 2011, Battlefield 3 was met with a similar fate when EA split single player and multiplayer portions of the game on two different disks on Xbox 360.

Medal of Honor: WarfighterIn a recent interview to Videogame, Danger Close senior designer Ben Jones admitted same thing may happen with Medal of Honor: Warfighter Xbox 360 version.

"I think that might be a reality for us as well."

”It’s DVD format versus Blu-ray and you’re going to see that split at certain times, especially with the amount of content that we’re delivering.”

When quizzed whether Medal of Honor: Warfighter Xbox 360 version will also include an optional HD texture pack which allowed the game engine to display high-resolution textures if installed (similar to the one with Battlefied 3).

To this Jones replied, "I believe we are [including an optional HD texture installation], but I don’t know that we can confirm that. We haven’t had it confirmed to us."

About PS3 version of Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Jones said, "…we’re pretty happy with that. Our PS3 version of the game is solid, I think it looks great. We went in specifically… We’ve been testing on both of those platforms for at least a year on a daily basis, so we spent a lot of time tuning and testing.

“We really focused on the lighting. I think lighting is one of the big things that shifts when you go to the consoles, so we made sure that our lighting was tailored to console first and still looked incredibly beautiful on PC. We’re going to deliver a high level of quality there regardless of platform."

  • Bethesda comments on Hearthfire and Dawnguard DLC delay on PS3

Yesterday Bethesda released second DLC content Hearthfire for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for PC (it is already out on Xbox 360), but no details was revealed as to when both Dawnguard and Hearthfire will arrive on PS3.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hearthfire DLCToday Pete Hines came out in open and discussed the delay of both Hearthfire and Dawnguard DLC on PS3. On Twitter, Hines stated that in bringing the content to PS3, "The performance isn’t good enough in all cases."

Hines further added that development team is still working hard in bringing both the content to PS3. "We’re still on it. Will share update when I have one."

When quizzed for a reason as to the PS3 delay, Hines replied, "The performance isn’t good enough in all cases. For most folks, it’d be fine. For some, it wouldn’t be."

Immediately after this response, an angry fan asked Hines to stop blaming and using PS3 hardware and Sony as an excuse. To this Hines polietly replied, "We’ve never blamed anyone or anything. It’s our problem, and it’s on us to solve it."

We have been getting these type of LAME excuses from Bethesda for a long time now, isn't it guys?, and the worst part is that Bethesda is still fearing to reveal the exact reason behind this delay.
