  • Destiny Online: Glory of the Tribe Expansion Pack Available

    Ingle Games has announced that "Glory of the Tribe", the long-awaited third expansion pack to their 2D anime-styled fantasy MMORPG Destiny Online has hit the servers on April 20th.

    The enhanced Tribal War (aka Guild War) holds the most spotlight of this extension pack. Closely combining PvP with PvE and amply rewarding every participant, the new Tribal War system is bound to set the Destiny world on fire.

    The other thrilling additions include a new Super Pet, Kirin, 2 new Boss monsters, Level 80 Darkhound and Level 145 Grim Gargoyle, 2 sets of new outfits, Eastern Gala Costume and Funky Valentine Costume, a new mount, Flying Carpet, a dozen of new Monster Cards that can transform players into hilarious monsters, and Level 145 equipments and weapons to keep up with the level cap raised to 145.

  • Unreal Engine 3 now available for "Monday Night Combat"

    Uber Entertainment today announced it has licensed Unreal Engine 3 for "Monday Night Combat," its newly revealed action game featuring competitive and co-op team-based fighting. Packed with the latest technical advances in Unreal Engine 3, "Monday Night Combat" is scheduled to storm Xbox LIVE Arcade later this year.

    "Monday Night Combat" is a class-based, third-person shooter blending intense combat and finishing moves with game show-like challenges and rewards. Players can fight for cash, fame and endorsements via online multiplayer as well as the extensive career meta game.

    "The Unreal Engine has enabled us to get 'Monday Night Combat' into a playable and great-looking state faster than any other engine on the market could have. We're thrilled to be working with it," said Bob Berry, president and chief executive officer of Uber Entertainment.

    "We're really pleased to see 'Monday Night Combat' make great use of Unreal Engine 3's capabilities for downloadable console games," said Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games. "Uber Entertainment has achieved a lot with the game's development in a short period of time and we can't wait to play it online."

  • March 2010 NPD Sales : God of War III tops

    March month has been a booming month for the gaming industry, as it saw the blockbuster and much awaited game title release and because of this the sales figure of overall game industry for this month increase to a whooping 6% to $1.44 billion. This increase involve the increase in the sales of gamehardware, accessories and others. March 2010 is the third best month in terms of revenue for the gaming industry, first two spot is occupied by March 2008 and June 2008.

    The Detail information of the Sales in the Month of March 2010 is given below.

    Console sale in March 2010 sorted by number of Unit sold:

    • DS: 700,800 units were sold.
    • Wii: 557,500 units were sold.
    • Xbox 360: 338,400 units were sold.
    • PlayStation 3: 313,900 units were sold.
    • PSP: 119,900 units were sold.
    • PlayStation 2: 118,300 units were sold.

    The software sales of PlayStation 3 top the list in this category, the reason behing this figure is that out of top 10 game title , four title are for the PlayStation 3. The only concern for the gaming industry was the hardware sale which saw a drop of 4% in it sale.

    • Accessories Sales: $206.8 million increase of 11%
    • Software Sales: $875.3 million increase of 10%
    • Hardware Sales: $440 million decrease of 4%

  • Activision: Infinity Ward has been treated well

    Problems associated with Activision and former chief Infinity Ward, Activision party again argued his defense. They said that maintaining good relations with the Infinity Ward so far.

    Thomas Tippl, COO of Activision said that his company has treated-developer Infinity Ward and other developers that they have very well. He said that they have a studio that provides a variety kebebasana independent for these developers to be creative, while the Activision deal with other matters, so developers can focus on making games.

    Tippl also said that if the game's success, the developer will get a much better compensation than that offered elsewhere and will earn millions of dollars. He further said that they offer ways of working will benefit all parties. "We treat our developers extremely well ... We have an independent studio model that provides them a lot of creative freedom while we take care of the back office stuff so they can focus on making games ... If their games are successful, they are compensated better here than anywhere else.

    We've been paying our talent millions of dollars for their work". Previously been reported that the party has sacked two senior Activision Infinity Ward, which is Jason West and Vince Zampella with unprofessional accusations in discharging duties. While the West and Zampella said that Activision has not paid their royalties.
