  • Fix for issues caused by patch v1.04 to PS3 Call of Duty: Black Ops out now

The latest patch v1.04 for Playstation 3 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops has given sleepless night to gamers, as reports of various issues faced are still coming out.

However to everyone surprise one of the Black Ops gamers have found a solution to these issue.

    Call of Duty: Black Ops

On the official game forum a user "stlcardinal9sr" has posted a four step solution to all the issues faced by gamers because of patch v1.04, here is the details of it:

In the XMB delete your game save data and game data utility for Black Ops, all of your online stats will still be there, you will lose single player stats though, I decided to check this and found that the patch actually loaded into game save data and not where it should have in GAME DATA UTILITY…After deleting and redownloading everything works like it should!!!!

    Steps to do this:

    1. In the XMB under games where you would click on the disk to load black ops scroll up to where it says saved data utility.
    2. Delete this data, what will happen is you will lose all of your campaign progress and on your custom classes you will lose whatever you have named them but all of your classes will be the same and no online progress will be lost. just rename them
    3. Scroll up a little more to game data utility and click it and delete the black ops data, you will NOT lose any online progress.
    4. Now go reload the game up and it will require you to redownload the patch and you should be up and running.

Check out these steps and see whether it helps you out in anyway, do leave your response to this solution as a comment to this post.

Gamers were flowing in from all part of the world to registered their complaint causing official website of the game to crashed.

Here is what one of our reader reported to us about the issues he faced after downloading the patch v1.04:

After downloading new patch for ps3 it seems to have got worse ie - Taking longer to get into a game then it kicks you out, lagging when your in a game and the worse one of all is if you are lucky to be playing the game and your doing well it freezes you then have to reset your ps3 you lose all your kills in that game plus god knows what damage this is doing to your ps3 and hard drive reseting all the time cant be doing it much good! his game is getting a bit annoying now and im losing a lot of faith in activision.

Developer Treyarch are in a state of shock and are trying to figure out what exactly went wrong, hopefully they find the problem and rectify it as soon as possible

Have your say what issue you faced after you downloaded the patch v1.04 for the game.
