  • Nintendo: Wii U will cost more than $250

    Satoru Iwata has hinted that Wii U, which was unveiled last night during firm's E3 press conference, will carry a price tag of more than $250.

    In an interview to Nikkei, Iwata said that the handheld will mostly likely cost more than ¥20,000 (that's aomething £150 or $250 after conversion).

    Last night Nintendo only confirmed that Wii U will launch at somepoint in 2012.

  • Assassin's Creed game for Wii U will be revealed tonight

    Ubisoft head Yves Guillemot has just confirmed that news regarding Assassin's Creed version of Wii U will be reveal later tonight.

    In an interview to GameTrailers, Guillemot said, Yes, we did announce it. And we’ll show tomorrow something new that everybody will like very much,”

    When asked if Wii U version of Assassin's Creed is Revelations or a brand new game, Guillemot said, “something completely different.”

  • Bethesda confirms Skyrim lead platform is consoles, not PC

    PC gamers won't take it too well, Bethesda has confirmed that consoles are the lead development platform of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

    Bethesda’s Craig Lafferty confirmed the news in an interview to CVG.

    “We use the consoles as our lead SKU,” the Skyrim lead producer told CVG. So we develop towards the consoles and then porting to PC is usually not too bad actually.”

  • Wii U disc size details revealed

    Katsuya Eguchi, Nintendo Chief game designer has confirmed that Wii U disc format will hold a total of 25 GB of data. The news was confirmed by Katsuya in an interview to Kotaku.

    Katsuya was further asked to reveal the details about the system's internal flash memory, but he declined to comment on it. It has been reported that Wii U internal flash memory is 8GB.

  • Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception to have LAN support

    This was not expected but a good news for all Uncharted 3 fans. Naughty Dog has confirmed that Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception wll have LAN support when it finally releases in November.

    The reason for LAN support for the game, due to PSN outage issues Naughty Dog were unable to complete their task on Uncharted 3's 3-person co-op and 10-person multiplayer modes. The only solution left with Naughty Dog, devise own LAN support.

  • Hideo Kojima praises DICE for Battlefield 3

    Hideo Kojima, the man behind Metal Gear Solid series, has praised DICE for their work in upcoming shooting game title "Battlefield 3". Hideo Kojima praised the developer on his personal twitter account.

  • Wii U capability shown in stunning tech demo

    Want to see the graphical power of Nintendo's Wii U then check out the video footage below that the firm released at E3 conference today. According to Nintendo America President Reggie Fils-Aime tech demo "an early example of what the system can do".

  • Nintendo: Wii U third party gameplay footage was taken from PS3 and Xbox 360 versions

    Nintendo America President, Reggie Fils-Aime has confirmed that the third party titles footage seen in Wii U unveil was taken from PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

    In an interview to GameTrailers, Reggie said the video footage fans saw during Wii U reveal which included stunning look at Darksiders 2 was from current platform since Nintendo is "a year away from when the console will launch"

  • Gran Turismo 5 patch v1.10 available now

    As promised, the new patch for Gran Turismo 5 is now available for download. The patch updates the game to v1.10 and brings minor tweaks and bug fixes. Complete patch note is also out, we have listed below only th fixes and other changes made to the game by this new patch, check it out.

    Correction of Known Issues

    • PDI has addressed the issue of the maximum speed set in the transmission settings of the settings menu differing from the actual top speed of the car. This will affect cars equipped with the relevant transmission tuning part, and almost all racing cars. Cars for which each gear ratio was adjusted manually with a full customised transmission in update versions 1.07 and earlier will not be affected.
    • An issue with the increase and decrease of the online logon bonus has been corrected.
    • An issue where the player’s car and opponents’ cars braked at the wrong timings in the pit lane during B-Spec has been corrected.
    • A problem where racing sound effects were turned off after changing settings in the quick menu has been corrected.
    • An issue of how dirty the oil is when players purchase a used car not being affected by the car’s mileage has been corrected.
    • An issue where some of the driver gear colours had changed after the 1.06 update has been corrected.
    • An issue in the championships of GT Life where opponent cars kept using the same tyres in the second race and onwards has been corrected.
    • An issue where the menu BGM was being played back during remote racing rather than the race BGM has been corrected.
    • An issue of the program freezing when opening a garage containing nearly the maximum number of cars has been corrected.

    Other Changes

    • Check the physical endurance of drivers that are resting in the B-Spec endurance races.
    • Sort the garage by [Last Car Driven]
    • In [Weight Adjustment] of [Settings], players can now see changes in the front to rear weight balance when the ballast position is changed.
    • The A-Spec driver is now displayed in the profile screen.
    • In the pit menu of B-Spec, the time limit for being able to direct pit work has been changed from reaching “0? in the count down, to “Until the car comes to a complete stop”.
    • The sorting order of the music album has been improved.
    • When selecting a track created in Course Maker from the course album of Arcade Mode or GT Mode, players can now run single races with up to 16 cars. (Excluding some tracks such as those made before the update, and dirt tracks.)
    • It is now possible to take 3D photographs even without connecting a 3D compatible TV.
    • It is now possible to export 3D photographs to [Photo] on the XMB
