  • PSN to feature more Avatar Options from Tomorrow

    Sony announced more new Avatar options at official PlayStation blog. From tomorrow on words with PlayStation Store publish users will get new avatars for more recent titles. New avatars to reveal for Tron: Evolution, Hoard, Grand Theft Auto IV, Red Dead Redemption, and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.

  • Homefront PC system requirements revealed

    THQ has given out the details about the PC system requirement for their upcoming game title Homefront. They revealed both the minimum and the recommended system requirement which we have listed below for you.


    Minimum System Specification:

    • Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7
    • Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz.
    • 2 GB RAM 
    • 1Shader Model 3.0 graphics card with 256MB of memory
    • NVIDIA GeForce 7900GS or ATI Radeon 1900XT
    • 10GB of free hard drive space

    Recommended System Specification:

    • Windows Vista or Windows 7
    • Quad Core 2 GHz+ CPU

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Patch 1.06 Available Now for PS3

    Treyarch has released a patch v1.06 for Playstation 3 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops which fixes issues like freezing problem, contract fixes and also the Second Chance Perk.

    This patch v1.06 also adds two new features, first is the addition of new contracts to the rotation and second one is allowing an optional pre-match timer for LAN/System-Link games.

    Issues Addressed:

    • Fixed freeze associated with larger games.
    • Improved reliability of players connections to one another.
    • Improved ability to bring parties to the game lobby. Late party
      joiners would try to connect to previous lobby host and be denied if new
      joiners trigger a lobby host migration.
    • Addressed an issue where the Host encounters and infinite spinning loading circle after a Host migration.
    • Fixed a timing specific, long/infinite loading screen when joining
      games (sometimes giving you “Error – Read error (0×80010713) on file
      <map name>”).
    • Fixed a timing-specific freeze when host powered down during host migration.
    • Cleaned up the map search filter in the Community section (deleted unused entries).
    • Fixed Combat Training’s “USE FRIENDS” option for bots names.
    • Fixed issue with split-screen guest profile names being blank, resulting in matches never launching.
    • Instead of showing the generic “Player” for offline profiles in LAN, we now display the PS3 profile name.
    • Fixed Friends list appearing after viewing a Friends Playercard from the Leaderboards.
    • Fixed filter so players can now view Friends on Zombies leadboards.
    • Fix timing specific issue where the game can be put into slow motion.
    • Addressed “disconnected path” error when using the doors in Radiation after a host migration.
    • Fixed stability issues navigating lobbies after client on Split Screen Zombies quits out of a game.
    • Addressed issue/exploit when removing Counter Spy Plane effects with the Jammer.
    • Fixed a freeze when quickly loading maps one after another in private match.
    • Fixed issue where players get primary weapons in Second Chance.
    • Fixed “NEW” stamp not disappearing for Custom Slot 9 when highlighting the slot.
    • Removed water vision effect when respawning after dying in the acid pool in Radiation.
    • Several contract fixes.

    Gameplay Tuning:

    • Second Chance – players that put an enemy into Second Chance are now credited for a full kill once that enemy dies. If another player kills the enemy while the enemy is in Second Chance, they will get assist credit.
    • Adjustments to the PSG1 with attachments.
    • AK74U adjustments.
    • RCXD adjustments.
    • Silenced sniper rifle adjustments.
    • Removed hit markers when shooting friendly equipment.

  • Frank West out of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3

    All those rumor and evidence that suggested Dead Rising Star "Frank West" was all set to feature in Marvel Vs Capcom 3 was true, he was in it, but that's not the case now. In an interview to Videogamer Producer Ryota Niitsuma explained that the decision to cut Frank West from the list was taken at last minute, even though most of the work to put him in was completed way back.

    Ryota Niitsuma said that "As for Frank West, he was actually in the process quite deep, and in one of our high quality CG trailers he was actually part of it, But we've taken him out, due to the fact that we've foreseen some extra work involved, just from the nature of his moves. We felt we could direct our resources to better use, so we've taken Frank out."

  • Sony PSP2 to have 3G and OLED display

    New details for the one of the most awaited handled console PSP2 has emerged. According the the japanese newspaper Nikkei has revealed the upcoming PSP2 will have 3G support and OLED display. As expected it will also support WLAN (Wifi). Wifi along with 3G will change the defination of handheld console. With 3G support you'll be able to connect with other players online around the world.

    Now coming to OLED display, means users will have touch screen interface in PSP2. And as Nikkei newspaper revealed more, sony also about to bring the new processor for the device.

    Nikkei also slated the details about the upcoming Playstation-Phone.  Its a smartphone which will include many gaming features. Playstation-Phone will feature the Google Android system and will allow users to access non-game software like video and scheduling software.

    Sony is expected to make some press announcement soon for new PSP system and Playstation Phone is expected to unveiled next month.

  • L.A. Noire Release Dates announced by Rockstar Games

    Rockstar Games today has announced the release dates for their upcoming title L.A. Noire. L.A. Noire will release this year on May 17th in North America and on  May 20th in Europe and expected to launch at both platforms namely Xbox 60 and PS3.

    Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games said "L.A. Noire breaks new ground for us, Its intense blend of action and real detective work defies genre conventions to create a unique and captivating thriller."

    L.A. Noire is a crime thriller which is set in post-World War II Los Angeles with lots of violence and corruption. This action thriller includes lots of crime-solving, clue-finding, car chases and shoot-outs features new interrogation-based gameplay. Players have to adopt the role of Cole Phelps, a decorated war veteran.

  • Portal 2 - on all platforms users can build own levels

    Portal 2 - users can build own levels in all platforms Chet Falliszek from Valve has confirmed to Videogamer that users can build their own levels for Portal 2. This should be possible for all platforms.

    On the PS3 this is enabled by Steamworks, in which among other things the cross-platform play is allowed. While PC side the mod tools to be deployed, but things will remain same. Furthermore Falliszek also confirmed that Portal 2 will have two ends. One for the single player campaign and one for the co-op campaign. In addition, there will be more surprises in the game that is to reveal with time.
