The year 2014 had huge and promising games which were supposed to take all the current gaming to a whole new level. Sadly nothing of this sort has happened yet. We are steadily witnessing growth and improvement in various aspects of gaming, be it in terms of the machines on which we play our games or the game themselves.
What led to a huge level of disappointment caused due to high promises and expectations this year was specifically three games, which you have already guessed, Titanfall, Watch Dogs and the recent game, Destiny. If you contemplate, you will reach to a conclusion that these three games are not bad or even average, but are good games. It happened something like, 'We were promised a treasure chest full of valuable shiny rare Diamonds and we got a treasure chest full of Bronze coins!'

The Last of Us Remastered

This awesome Naughty Dog, 3rd person shooter action adventure game relaunched for next-gen, PS4 console and people were going crazy to play the enhanced The Last of Us Remastered once again.
The Last of Us Remastered is not only graphically enhanced and beautiful but details like voice acting, sound design and dialogs were also improved. Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson beautifully played voice actors for Joel and Ellie, they have created perfect emotions for their characters throughout the game.
Mario Kart 8
A revolution in the online racing genre, Mario Kart 8 undoubtedly impressed gamers who had given up on it. Mario Kart 8 in considered a killer app or a must have if you own Nintendo Wii U.
Mario Kart 8 is a mixture of fluid controls, plenty of characters, great track design karts, bikes and power ups, this combination can hardly bore any living being. This game has amazing graphics and the feature which stands out is definitely the anti-grav mechanic.
You don't have to be a kid to play Mario Kart 8, fun things like jumping off certain areas, underwater driving, driving off the track and onto a sideways wall while everyone else races below, extra boost are few of the things that make Mario Kart 8 an enjoyable experience.

An amazing game for gamers who love various fictional characters, as The Wolf Among Us is fully based on various mythical characters that fled after the invasion of their Homelands. The Wolf Among Us: Cry Wolf is the fifth episode of the The Wolf Among Us series.
It is a prequel to the comic series Fables, with gorgeous brightly colored visuals. Most of the times you have to choose from a set of pre-defined actions, but this feature in no way makes you feel confined to a specific action.
In this game you have the freedom to explore and talk to characters also. The Wolf Among Us: Cry Wolf received very positive reviews from the critics at the time of its launch.
Dark Souls 2

Wolfenstein: The New Order can be called as a fresh and enhanced 2014 version of the original Wolfenstein game which kept us hooked for hours. This game has a mix of powerful and satisfying weapons, and a new, robotics-focused take on the Nazi war machine.
