Exclusive Games That have Become the Deciding Factor for Buying PlayStation 4 or Xbox One

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are officially out around the world. There are plenty of reasons to jump onto the next generation console but which one would be the best option for you? Specifications are close together along with the main features though we won't get too specific between the two consoles. For now, the deciding factor may finally be video game based.

If we look back at the past generation consoles between Microsoft and Sony, it was apparent as to what features were most important to gamers. Though both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 offered similar services, the two did have few key elements that may have helped in determining what some gamers wanted out of a system. Now that the PS4 and Xbox One are going head-to-head trying to persuade gamers to their consoles, let's take a look at the top exclusives currently out for both consoles right now. 

Now these ratings come from Metacritic which takes an average out of several video game websites and publications. So now lets go through the list of exclusive games that have become the deciding factro for buying PS4 or Xbox One:

Forza Motorsport 5

With an average rating of 79, Forza Motorsport 5 is the top rated video game exclusive for the Xbox One. Forza Motorsport 5 is a racing video game title developed by Turn 10 Studios. With over 200 cars to choose from, 17 circuits and DLC packs that continues to add more content, the game keeps up with previous video game installments in the series.

Next up on our list is Dance Central Spotlight that has a rating of 73. Released just earlier this month, Dance Central Spotlight comes from Harmonix. This is the first release that has made it to the current generation of consoles where gamers could purchase the game digitally on the Xbox Game Store. One of the main focuses Harmonix has noted about Dance Central Spotlight is based around DLC. Unlike previous video game installments, DLC will be releasing that features songs that are currently still on music charts.

Killer Instinct

A popular fighting game series that hasn't seen a release since 1996 has finally made it's next big debut on the Xbox One. Killer Instinct, developed by Double Helix Games, comes in at a rating of 73. The game takes a look back to a more original base of fighting gameplay where it also features past characters from the series along with some new additions to the series. Though Killer Instinct features the same name as the original title of the series, the game takes place years after the events of Killer Instinct 2.

PlayStation 4

First on our list for the PS4 is Resogun which holds an incredible 86 in ratings. Housemarque is behind Resogun which is a side-scrolling shoot 'em up. With developers admitting to developing Resogun with inspirations of 1980 video game Defender. Players will be able to move both left and right in a defined space where they will take on enemy ships while also saving humans. Visually, this game is quite outstanding and worthy for a pick up on the PlayStation 4.

Infamous Second Son comes in at a rating of 80. Sucker Punch Productions continues the Infamous series by this time putting players in the role of Delsin Rowe. Delsin, like previous protagonist within the series, contains superpower abilities. Delsin takes the fight against the Department of United Protection which are simply rounding up other mutants. With battles taking all across the Seattle area, players are in for a visually satisfying treat.

Last on our list is Killzone Shadow Fall with a 73 rating. Guerrilla Games is best known for their Killzone video game series with Shadow Fall being the sixth title released. This first-person shooter takes place 30 years after the events of Killzone 3 where players will take control of Lucas Kellan, a Shadow Marshall. Lucas Kellan may finally know of a way to end a continuing war between the Vekta and the Helghast but will Lucas really posses the ability to change the world forever?
