Five Reasons Why You'll Pick Up GTA V Again on PS4/Xbox One This November
Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto 5 pretty late into the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 console generation. Without the release date revealed for at the time, next generation consoles, it was tough deciding whether or not to pick up the game on the last generation consoles or wait for a release on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Though who were we kidding? After seeing those trailers, gameplay videos and information as to what all the game had to offer, compared to the previous Grand Theft Auto installment, we snatched up the game during launch.
The game made a massive success! After all it's important to note that the game broke so many records, the biggest being the largest media release of all time. Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 took only three days before the game made a billion dollars. This release topped novel, music or even blockbuster movie launches and for good reason as critics and gamers praised the game. Now that the release for Grand Theft Auto 5 is slated for November of this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, it's pretty safe to assume that the game will receive a second wind. Here are five incredible reasons why you'll be picking up GTA 5 once again when it re-releases.
Rockstar has already confirmed that if you already purchased the game on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 then you can bring over your save data. This save data is also cross-platform meaning that you can bring over the Xbox 360 saves onto PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3 saves to Xbox One. Don't fret, you won't be starting the game over but at the same time, I think most of us will be replaying the game, it's just that good!
GTA 5 will have some insanely good visuals to go along with the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC version of the game. Not only will the game have a higher resolution but some technical upgrades as well. This means that you'll be able to see farther, notice more wildlife, denser traffic and more NPCs. There's even updated graphics for weather and damage.
Vehicles and Weapons
Grand Theft Auto wouldn't be nearly as popular if it wasn't for the wide range of vehicles to roam the city in. You can be sure that Rockstar has plenty of ideas on new vehicles to toss into the mix like a faster blimp or a new monster truck. There's also additional weapons to take down the enemy like the high-velocity rail gun or a hatchet that was recently revealed from Rockstar. We're pretty positive that more weapons will be coming out in due time which may in fact be exclusive to the latest version of the game.
One of the small little additions into Grand Theft Auto 5 that made the game feel so much more alive in comparison to past installments was the random events. From driving down the road and hearing a cry for help to stumbling upon a drunk citizen needing a ride home, there were a number of these little events that added so much to the game. Rockstar has confirmed that there will be new events that will take place in the upcoming version of the game and we can't wait to see just what they are!
Exclusive Campaign Content
Rockstar isn't done telling a story quite yet. There will be more campaign missions available one of which is known as Murder Mystery which puts players back into the shoes of Michael as he puts clues together to solve a murder. The details are slim right now but continuing the storyline for Michael will be a treat and if Rockstar is looking back at Michael, something tells me that we may see more from Trevor and Franklin.
Those are just naming five reasons. We didn't even mention about Grand Theft Auto Online, Heists, Races or several of the other modes or features for the game! Take a look at the trailer down below showing off the comparison trailers of the original GTA 5 release and the updated re-release.
