What is the Nintendo Switch?
The Nintendo Switch is console that looks like a tablet with two controllers on the right and left which can be detachable. The controllers are pretty flexible, which are called as Joy-Con, you can use them by attaching to a special grip controller to make it more convenient. In order to run the games on television, you need to put the console into the dock.
How will be the controller?
The controllers are very flexible to use, the Joy-Con can be put into the Joy-Con grip to play by holding in both hands separately like Wii Remote and Nunchuck. Or you can simply put into the side of the screen to play like Wii U gamepad. You can also make it flexible for two players by turning both Joy-Cons sideways like traditional SNES controllers but joysticks instead of D-Pads. There is also one more option like Nintendo Switch Pro controller.
How powerful will be the Nintendo Switch if compared to other game consoles?
According to the information provided by Nintendo until now, the Switch will be using a custom Tegra processor made by NVIDIA and an NVIDIA Graphical processing unit. There is a possibility that unreal engine only requires support from the engine not the power.
If we were to make out something from physical feature, the two controllers feature a Left and Right analogue stick, a set of ABXY buttons on the right above the right analogue stick, plus and minus button, two shoulder buttons, two trigger buttons, home button and square button (functionality unknown) with a circle indentation inside.
The Pro controller features D-Pad under the left analogue stick, Joy-Con controller replaced with four arrow buttons reminiscent of the C buttons on the Nintendo 64 controller. Two Joy-Con controllers are featuring an extra set of shoulder buttons if held sideways for two player games. Joy-Cons are flexible to split between players.
The system look like tablet shaped device to slide into the dock for charging. The device is having the top slot and cover for game cartridges, called game cards, 3.5mm audio port and vent for heat. There is a stand folds on the back of device to make is stand up if placed on table. With the small release button in the back of the Joy-Con, it releases each controller from the console or grip unit.
Side of the dock, there are two unknown ports which looks like USB ports. There is an horizontal indentation on the back for cords like as power and video/audio output or possibly for ventilation into the console. There might seem to be two ports are available downside, one of them might be for charging the console. However these are just assumptions.
