Xbox SmartGlass is a companion application for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles that is compatible with Windows 8 devices, Windows RT tablets, Windows Phone (7.5+) smartphones, Windows Server 2012 PCs, iOS (5+) devices and Android (4.0+) smartphones. It was released on 26th October 2012.

SmartGlass connects with the Xbox 360 and Xbox one to allow more interactive entertainment, allowing mobile devices to become a second screens and remote controller. Xbox One Smartglass allows the users to view the game statistics, activities also to send friend messages on Xbox Live which is not available on the console.

To solve this problem

  • First you go to the Home screen.
  • Then press the Menu button you have on your controller.
  • Now Go To Settings.
  • In setting you will see a option 'Power & startup' Select it.
  • When you are on the Power & startup screen, just once press on the Power mode setting.
  • This will change the Power mode setting to "Energy-saving".
  • Power cycle your console by following these steps:
  • First you go to the Home screen.
  • Then press the Menu button you have on your controller.
  • Now go to Settings select it.
  • In setting you will see a option 'Power & startup' Select it.
  • Now turn off your Xbox by slelcting Turn Xbox off and confirm it.
  • You'll know your Xbox is turned off when the Xbox button stops flashing.
  • Now turn on your console and start the application again.
