Dark Souls 3 Walkthrough: Dancer of the Boreal Valley, Lothric Castle, and Dragonslayer Armor Boss Fight
After Defeating Yhorm the Giant in Profaned Capital, you will hear Emma and then be teleported into this room, where Emma begs you to save Prince Lothric and dies. She drops the Basin of Vows and 1000 souls. If you walk to the statue the cut-scene and the boss fight starts. So Let's start with the walkthrough and exploration of Lothric Castle.
Dancer of the Boreal Valley Boss
The Dancer's form is that of a huge female-looking humanoid and has silver plated armor running up and down her body, with a veil trailing from her head. She is weakened to Dark and Lightning Damage. We have a separate guide which shows how to Defeat Dancer of the Boreal Valley Boss. Once you defeated the Dancer, place the Basin in the Statue to bring down the ladder and start your Lothric Castle Journey.
Lothric Castle Bonfire
Once you climb the Ladder you will have three choices: Left, Right, and Straight. We will be heading straight first. Head straight inside the Church and you will find a new kind of enemy called the Cleric which can heal the other enemies soo always take them down first/ They will be black in the color hood. Clear the Area, take right to head upstairs take down another Cleric and two knights. Head straight and Lit the Lothric Castle Bonfire to Save your Progress.
Now it's time to move up and explore the real Lothric Castle so head straight then take left to use the stairs. Here you will find some old but improved Hollow Soldiers and Assassins. They look identical but are much difficult to take them down so be careful. Another Enemy called Winged Knight will show up in the room beside the stairs simply avoid all the double axe slams he throws.
Dragon Barracks Bonfire
Head Upstairs and on your left is this Bonfire so Lit it up and save your progress then you can go left to kill the Knight, or Right to take on another bunch of enemies and lastly forward to take on the Boss. Clearing the Area and heading straight ou will come across the wrecked bridge with two Dragons throwing flames all over so as you get to the bridge drop down to the left and take the alternative stairs to get up.
Here you will again be fighting one of the dangerous enemies who will stop you from taking Estus(for a while), make sure you kill them fast or run away if running low on health. Enter the Castle and if you go down you will have to take on the Frost Knight, but there are some big loot down there so worth taking the risk. Now head straight and get across the other part of the Castle but make sure you jump and roll to avoid the Dragon Flame.
As you get inside the other part of the Castle, you need to run straight to the top quickly as the nearby barrels will blow up and the Hollows out there are throwing fire bombs at you. Get inside and then take everyone one by one. Once you down killing then all head down and you will see Dragon's claws with some Beast Summoning, Hit the Claw to start the fight and take him down with the Heavy attack . This takes one Dragon down and the other will automatically act dead.
You have taken down the major enemies of the area so if you want to explore it's to your right or else head straight to Fight the Boss. We tried to explore a bit on the right as we have to come back here later in the game that is why decided to take on the Boss first.
Dragonslayer Armour Boss Fight
Dragonslayer Armour is a boss who is guarding the entrance to the Grand Archives(next area) and you must defeat him to get access. Before we head the Boss you can summon Eygon of Carim to help you fight. You can find him in the building to the right of the stairway leading to the boss fog on the right side just beyond the doorway.
Get inside with Eygon and start the Fight. Before taking him down let's know his weakness first: Frost Damage(3-4 consecutive hits with a frost weapon) or Greatsword or Wolf Knights Greatsword will do the work pretty well. When you first walk in approach the boss and roll through his jumping attack getting in an attack if you can.
Next, you will want to bait him into a 2/3 hit combo with two swings of his axe and then hit him if he doesn't try to bash you with his shield after the second swing. Split second decisions are a big part of this fight, but won't generally get you killed if react incorrectly. Once you drain his health decent enough the second phase begins.
In phase 2, projectiles will start raining down from either side of the bridge. While this might sound terrifying, it's really not that bad, and since you are rolling frequently you will generally avoid most projectiles unintentionally. Just keep your eyes open and if you start seeing them land, roll away from the boss until they stop.
Finally, get your hands on the Boss and take him down. Lit the Bonfire and save your Progress. Thus Completing the Walkthrough for Lothric Castle and we will continue with the Grand Archives Walkthrough or you can visit our Dark Souls 3 Wiki page to know more about the game and the collectibles.
