Check the Xbox Live Status

You need to make sure the Xbox Live is Up and Running

Check the Network Statistics

  1. Open the Guide by scrolling Left on Home Screen
  2. Go to Settings and select All Settings
  3. Select Network - Network Settings
  4. Click on Detailed Network Statistics
  5. Check the Statistics to know the Cause

Tell You Party Members to Test their Xbox Live Connection

There might be a chance in your Party someone might have a Network Address Translation(NAT) problem. Tell your friends to follow the below steps:

  1. Open the Guide by scrolling Left on Home Screen
  2. Go to Settings and select All Settings
  3. Select Network - Network Settings
  4. Click on Test Network Connection

Note:

  • If someone in your party had an NAT indication in network setting then ask that person to try the Xbox One Multiplayer Solution.
  • If You are testing and find 5-percent packet loss then you might have wanted to troubleshoot your connection.

Restart your Xbox One Console

  1. Open the Guide by scrolling Left on Home Screen
  2. Go to Settings and Select Restart Console Option
  3. Click on Yes to Proceed

Try a Wired Connection

For the Wireless Connection users, you can try the wired Connection to check if the Chat is working. If you can switch to party chat with wired connection then check the Network Hardware Information section in Xbox Forums.
