How to Get Poke Ball and Capture

How to Get Poke Balls

Being a Pokemon Trainer, the game will provide you with a variety of items from the start or unlock them later in the game. As you start exploring the world you can visit a number of PokeStops or buy items from the in-game shop. Poke Ball is Pokemon Trainer's main tool to catch any Pokemon. You will have 50 Poke Balls to start with, but most of them will be wasted until you get good at tossing them out.

If you are running out of Poke Balls then either you can buy them from the Store with real cash or wait until you Level Up. Yes! You are rewarded with Poke Balls every time you level up. Look for the Blue Symbol on the Map which points the PokeStops, where you can buy them in batches of 20, 100 and so on for PokeCoins.

How to Capture a Pokemon

Once you're done creating your Avatar, you need to move him and that is only possible if you Move in the real world. The GPS map will show the movement and as soon as any wild Pokemon shoots up the app will notify you. If you want to the notified Wild Pokemon then here is what you need to do:

  • Toss Pokeball from your Item Bag or Use Items like Razz Berries to make it easy
  • Try To use Pokeball like Ultra Ball, Great Ball or Master Ball for Higher Level Pokemon
  • The Target Cell will help you know how tough the capture will be:
    • Green Circle - Best
    • Yellow Circle - Dicy
    • Orange Circle - Tough
    • Red Circle - Hard
  • Wait until the Circle is smallest before flinging a Pokeball. The smaller the circle get the more chances of easy capturing.

If you find this Hard then try Incubators and Pokemon Eggs. Place the Pokemon Egg in the Incubator until it hatches. You can find more Incubators later in the game.
