Pokemon GO is a location based app which lets the player catch Pokemon in Real World. Pokemon Trainers are really curious to find and capture the Legendary Pokemons like Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos. As Ditto is the only non-legendary Pokemon that no one has captured yet. There are various rumors and discoveries are been tested to find and locate him.

Where to Find Ditto

How and Where to Find Ditto

At San Diego Comic-Con, Niantic revealed the Team Leaders new purpose and how they will interact with you in future. CEO John Hanke hinted that there may be other Easter Eggs hidden buried in there yet to be discovered. Since then players have gone crazy to find Easter eggs similar to the Eevee Evolution. Here are the theories and rumors so far from Reddit Users. If you have come to any conclusion then please post them in the comments below.

Major Chances for Easter Eggs

As we said Ditto is the only non-legendary Pokemon just like Eevee and as it has also been confirmed recently that there are additional Easter eggs similar to the evolution Easter egg. Some also say the Ditto is a failed Mewtwo experiment. Here are the clues we found on the internet and tried some.

Clue 1:
Ditto in the game Pokemon Snap is disguised as a Bulbasaur. The Pester Ball is used against the Bulbasaur to have Ditto return to its original form. So far in our Easter Egg Article, we saw the four color come in the Game Menu which are Purple, Yellow, Blue and Red so is the color of the Pester Ball. We've tried pressing all the color buttons before catching a few Bulbasaur's but no luck.

Clue 2:
In Pokemon GO Kanto series, Ditto makes it's first appearance in the episode "Ditto's Mysterious Mansion " as a Pikachu. Ditto is unable to fully transform in the beginning and is noticeable due to its face. We have two Pikachu and both sound the same if you have tried any of these experiments do let us know.

Master File

Players from all around the world have been searching from the Legendary Pokemon along with Ditto, Mewtwo, and Mew. Few players have also started exploring the Master file of Pokemon GO which shows all the assets and images of the game. In these files, we saw the presence of the Master Ball and it wasn't unlocked at level 40 which is supposed to be the highest attainable level in Pokemon GO. This explains there is an Easter egg on receiving a master ball as well.

PokeDex Description

One of the Reddit users also explored the Pokedex description for Ditto where it says - Ditto rearranges its cell structure to transform itself into other shapes. However, if it tries to transform itself into something by relying on its memory, this Pokemon manages to get details wrong. Does this mean Ditto can be a hidden Pokemon you capture daily?

The Capture Attack Rate

If we look deep down in the Master file we see the Capture Rate for each and every Pokemon which shows that Ditto, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu are the only Pokemon to have a baseCaptureRate of 0.16 and a BaseFleeRate of 0.1. These also happen to be the only starter Pokemon. There are chances like we get Pikachu as a starter Pokemon it can be Ditto as well.

CEO Hanke's Hint

The CEO of Niantic stated that there were still additional Easter eggs and that we should "always spin". Now this can be just a theory, but we do have results. When an egg is in the incubator, it usually says "Walk to hatch this Egg." or for some players it shows "Hatch this egg by feeding it butter. It takes all kinds of butter, every kind. The best kind."

After a quick research we analyzed the items we have like the Potions, Revive and when you click any Potion it takes you to the screen to heal your injured Pokemon go if you swipe on the same screen, you'll see an incubator logo which is locked for me as we didn't get the Butter message for Hatch. If you have the Butter Message then do try this and let us know what happened in the comments below.

This was all for the Ditto Rumors, we will update this guide as we find new theories. Till then you catch 'em all and check our Pokemon GO Wiki Guide and let us know if you find something new.
