The best Shotguns in Destiny 2 – Season of Arrivals

This is my boomstick.
Destiny 2

Shotguns have always been one of the best types of weapons in any shooter game, and Destiny 2 is no different. The Shotgun is the great equalizer in PvP or a lifesaver in PvE. Like all other weapons in the game, some Shotguns are simply better than others, so in this guide, we will run through some of the best options to track down.

Felwinter’s Lie

You can get the Felwinter’s Lie by finishing The Lie quest. This powerhouse of a Shotgun was largely known as a game-breaker in the original Destiny, and in Destiny 2, it still packs a vicious punch that will put away almost any enemy. There is a chance that this one has passed you buy, as the quest was limited time, but if you are lucky enough to have it, it will help you dominate PvP.

The Chaperone

A lot of Guardians seem to sleep on the Chaperone due to the slug-based nature of it, but if you have the aim, then this will pop enemy Guardian’s heads off with ease. To get it, you will need to complete the Jolly Holliday quest.

The Tractor Cannon

The Tractor Cannon is an Exotic Shotgun that will forcibly boop your enemies across the map. A promising option for both PvP and PvE, this is a random world Exotic, so if you don’t have it yet you need to get into the game and start killing, or hope that Xur will bring it for you.

Dust Rock Blues

The Tractor Cannon is an Exotic Shotgun that will forcibly boop your enemies across the map. A promising option for both PvP and PvE, this is a random world Exotic, so if you don’t have it yet, you need to get into the game and start killing, or hope that Xur will bring it for you.

Wishbringer

PvP players looking for an easy way to dump massive damage into large targets might want to venture into the Crucible to try and get the Wishbringer. The damage output on this is massive thanks to the Rapid-Fire frame, making it a fully automatic shotgun.

Ikelos_SG

You can get one of Destiny 2’s most brutal shotguns by complete Escalation Protocol Events on Mars. Everyone who plays Destiny 2 has learned to fear this particular weapon, and it is highly sought after for a reason, despite losing some of it’s luster over time.

Mindbender’s Ambition

You can get the Mindbender’s Ambition by completing the Hallowed Lair Nightfall. This is a pretty constant option for high-level PvP players who love Shotguns, backing up a solid range with a brutal amount of damage that will easily one-shot an enemy.
