In Chapter 3 Preparation Walkthrough of A Way Out – Vincent and Leo are now out of the woods and visiting their families, later they will continue with their mission of finding Harvey in Chapter 3 Preparation Walkthrough.
In Chapter 2 Fugitive Vincent and Leo were able to make alive by escaping the chasing guards and then crossing a river. Now they are heading towards Harvey by finding a guy named Ray and getting info on him. Vincent and Leo will also meet their families in this part, but it will not be that easy.
Chapter 3 Preparation Walkthrough
Family Reunion
There will be a few bunches of cutscenes at the start. Next objective is to locate Leo’s family. Start walking straight till the end and as you cross the first pole turn right, you will find a drunk man near a van. Ignore him, straight ahead you will see a few men playing baseball, go left and talk to the mechanic who is fixing a car near the garage. Ask him ‘When did you see her?’. He will give you the location, pass through the garage and exit from the back door, Leo will spot his kid. Go down from the stairs on right and both characters will have to push the garbage bin. This will trigger another cutscene. Go and talk to Alex, he will jump off the window and head to the tree house. As Leo go there, while Vincent can walk around for extra activities like Dart. To fix the sign, take the hammer from the table on left. There will be another cutscene. After that you will be playing a basketball for a while, let Alex play if you want to end it fast. As Leo walk towards the trailer and as Vincent play with Alex. Do this till the next cutscene appears.
Locate Ray
Your next location is the construction site where Leo is trying to locate Ray. Now you get two choices here one is Vincent’s way to Bluff and other is Leo’s way to Threat. If you pick Vincent’s way to bluff, Vincent will tell a story to take access to the site, while if you go with Leo’s way he will try to threat the construction worker. After the discussion, turn left and keep walking until the end. You will reach an elevator, after going up you will say Ray running. Leo will take the elevator and Vincent will try to chase him down. Keep running behind Ray, he will try blocking your path, look for stairs and options to jump. On the other side Leo exit, the lift and he also has to be chase on foot. Keep chasing him, till he disappears after coming out of the lift.
In this new part of under-construction building cross the door ahead, and then slowly glide through the edges of the wall. Cross the huge room, and on your right look for the exit sign. Check in the container on the left, once again he will escape by locking the door, both players will have to coordinate to break the door. As Vincent use the crane, and as Leo climb on the hook to go up. Next, as Vincent run towards the crane from the right and as Leo keep following him. Vincent will the first to reach and fight with Ray, he will fell down, as Leo go down and catch him.
Ray will slide down from the room on left and run away, once again follow him, as Leo run behind and as Vincent tackle him from the other side. In this way, the chase ends and there will be a cutscene. After that, you will have to interrogate Ray so he can give info. You will have to torture him a bit, there is a lamp, fire, wallet, nail-gun things around just use all of them one by one and he will give you Harvey’s location.
Robbing The Gas Station
To get some cash Vincent and Leo decide to rob a gas station, you will have to two choices here, first you can go the Vincent way where he keeps the gun or by Leo’s way where he will be using the gun. Pick a side, if you go with Leo’s way then things will be aggressive, you will barge into the gas station and you have to deal with a few scared customers. Things are smoother if you go Vincent’s way, he will go in with the gun and ask all the customers to leave.
Talk to the cashier, she will deny information on a safe. On the left of cashier table, there is a red door, save your friend and there is a save on the right. Ask the cashier about the safe combination, ask her a few time and she will give that. The combination is 137. Open the safe, and take the money and get into the car.
Gun Dealer:
When you meet the gun dealer there will be two choices one is Vincent’s way to Handle it and other is Leo’s way to Intervene. Pick anything, next you get the guns. There are four of them pick the one you think you can use best. You can pick them one by one and test it. There is a red drum at the corner, one can throw bottles in the air and other can shoot. Get the gun and leave the place.
Assassin
While Vincent is on the phone, Leo can walk around. You will need some change to make the call, look at the exact opposite of the phone booth there is a small store, buy something from there and return with change. A killer will appear who is hired to shoot down Leo. You will have to now run, once you exit the door, push the cabinet to the right to lock the door. Push the platform and let another pass towards the vent. Pull the vent gate and went into it, as you land n the other side the shooter will keep shooting, push the light towards the right and keep moving slowly. The next one is controlled by a button, so one will move and the other will control it. Ambush the shooter. Next both have to kill him.
Vincent’s Child
Leo will tell Vincent to go to the hospital to see his child. Here you have to enter quietly. Look at the information board as you enter the hospital and then walk towards the elevator. It is on the extreme left corner of the floor. Along with Leo and Vincent, a security guard will also enter. Here you will have two choices Leo’s way is to know him out and Vincent’s way is to Talk your way out. Pick anyone, and then walk left and talk to the receptionist.
Escaping The Hospital
After the police arrive, Vincent and Leo will take two separate routes to exit. There won’t be split screen this time, both the characters will appear one by one randomly. Starting Vincent, run through the roof and open the red door. Now playing as Leo open door, turn right and then tackle an officer ahead. Once again you will control Vincent, run straight and then turn right. As Leo cross the door and block it with the cabinet. There will be three guards on your right side, break the door and jump on the lift are. As Vincent run through the operation room and enter the vent. Now the game shifts to side scrolling, you will have to move and fight the guards coming in your way. Vincent will drop out from the vent, and to escape, open the window on the left of paintings, and hide. Quietly keep moving towards the right and you will reach stairs, go down and enter through the window below.
As Leo, you have to hostage a police officer and shoot in the air as warning shots. Keep walking backward, and then break the door on the right. As Vincent, quietly walk on the extreme right and site on the chairs. Once the officers pass way to exit through the door and once again Vincent is caught, jump out of the window. Help Leo by taking the car and driving it to the entrance point. You will be switched to Leo, run towards the car.
