How to get a male or female Pikachu and Eevee at the start of the game | Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee Gender Starter Pokémon Guide
Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee is finally here, so let's get you started in style by telling you how to get the right gendered Pokémon that you are after.
Simply put, when you load up the game for the first time and the opening cutscene plays when either Pikachu or Eevee jump out of the TV. That will decide the starting gender for your Pokemon.
You'll need to look at the tail to know which gender your Pokémon is. For Pikachu, a heart-shaped tail will show off that it is female while a normal tail will deduce that it is male.
For Eevee, you want to look for a heart-shaped pattern it its tail for it to be female. Any other pattern will confirm it to be a male starter Pokémon.
If you don't get the gender you want from that opening cutscene, simply close and restart the game until you get the gender you want. There is a 50/50 chance of getting a male or female Pikachu while Eevee is a little bit harder, with only a 10 percent chance of getting a female at the start.
