How to get shiny legendary Pokémon in Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!
The Pokémon: Let's Go series has finally arrived, bringing with it a new way to explore the Kanto region.
For those shiny hunters out there, however, the game creates a new way for you to go about getting these illusive pocket monsters. Even the legendaries in the game, like Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, and Mewtwo, have shiny forms that are waiting to be caught.
How To Get Shiny Legendary Pokemon
But how do you go about getting these rare creatures?
In short, the only known way to get a shiny version of a legendary Pokémon will take a long time and some luck. The method, known as soft resetting, will force you to save your game just before you go into the battle against one of the four legendary Pokémon. You'll then need to let any cutscene play and wait until you're in the battle screen to find out if that Pokémon is shiny.
If it isn't, you're going to have to reset your game, reload from the previous checkpoint, and redo the process all over again.
There's no guarantee when you'll be able to finally encounter a shiny legendary creature. Some trainers get lucky and find one in their first few tries, while others reset hundreds or even thousands of times before one finally appears.
When one does appear, though, it's up to you to beat and capture it. If you fail, you'll need to pray that luck is on your side once again.
