Destiny 2 - New Max Level and Power Level Cap
With the Curse of Osiris DLC, Destiny 2 also gets a new maximum Level and maximum Power level. Up to this point, the maximum Level has been 20, and the maximum Power level has been 305. To hit 305 you needed a degree of dedication, and luck, getting the right Powerful Engrams, Exotics, and mods in game. A new DLC means new numbers to aim for.
Max Level and Max Power Level
The new max Level in the game is 25. This can be reached by earning in game XP by completing missions, Adventures, killing enemies, and other activities. I have also noticed that you still earn Bright Engrams, now called Luminous Engrams, for each rank.
The new max Power level is 330, although once again Mods will allow you to get to 335. There have also been some changes to the Power level gates of some in game activities. The Nightfall and the Heroic Strike list will require you to have 270 Power. The Leviathan Raid has also been changed, needing 300 Power now, while previously players needed to be only 270 Power. This isn’t a big deal to veterans, but is something to keep in mind if you have friends getting into the game, and are helping them on their journey.
I suspect the initial extra Power levels will come easily enough, but am expecting it will take a bit of grinding to break that 330 Power mark. As for XP level, that will come easily simply by playing the game itself. I jumped a full level just by playing through the first two missions of the DLC.
