Vietnam Lighters are one of several kinds of collectibles in Far Cry 5. They are typically found inside of bunkers and accompanied by notes or other lore delivery methods which can be quite interesting to read. Many are also located near perk magazines, and present a great way to unlock a few more of the best perks in the game. It’s not a bad idea to collect these Vietnam Lighters alongside the Prepper Stashes, so we’ve listed them grouped by region.
John’s Region
Rae-Rae’s Pumpkin Farm – Woody’s Lighter
Out back and just to the north of Rae-Rae’s Pumpkin Farm is the entrance to a bunker that holds this lighter.
Harry’s Residence – Danny’s Lighter
Just west of Rae-Rae’s Pumpkin Farm is the Harris Residence. In its backyard you’ll find the entrance to another bunker and Danny’s Lighter inside.
Fillmore Residence – Dom’s Lighter
The Fillmore Residence in the south of John’s Region is mostly burnt out, but the shed and its bunker are still intact. Just be careful not to upset the hornets guarding its entrance. Or shoot the gas can below the nest to clear them out.
Miller Residence – Dusty’s Lighter
Apparently our very own Dusty left his lighter behind in this bunker. The entrance is located behind the Miller Residence just beside a garden shed. It’s a bit of a mess down there, but that seems about right for our Dusty.
Faith’s Region
McClean Residence – Russel’s Lighter
At the McClean Residence just east of Dutch’s Island, there’s a bunker in the yard that hold Russel’s Lighter. In my case, the doors were already open with folks wandering around.
McCoy Cabin – Tim’s Lighter
Tim’s lighter can be found on a shelf inside a bunker in the yard of the McCoy cabin just south-west of Peach’s Taxidermy in Faith’s Region.
Counselor’s Cabin – Kev’s Lighter
In the woods north-west of the Hope County Jail are several cabins and a summer camp. By the counselor’s cabin, you’ll find a bunker – surprise – and in it, Kev’s lighter.
Abercrombie Residence – Crow’s Lighter
To the east of Hope County jail, just north of the river, is the Abercrombie Residence. Once half of a popular clothing company, this residence now only hides a bunker entrance in an enclosed back porch. Inside of it is Crow’s lighter.
Jacob’s Region
Elliot Residence – Stanford’s Lighter
It’s a bit of a messy scene outside of the shed that leads to the bunker at the Elliot Residence. Inside, however, you will find Stanford’s lighter.
Clagett Bay – Lefty’s Lighter
Something pretty gruesome happened to the owners of this cabin just west of Clagett Bay. Inside the bunker on the property you’ll find Lefty’s lighter.
Whitetail Park Visitor Center – Smiley’s Lighter
One of the few locations of Vietnam lighters that is not located inside a bunker. The Whitetail Park Visitor Center is a lovely area of Hope County and the lighter is sitting on a shelf inside the main information center lobby.
Cedar Lake Lookout – Joe’s Lighter
A little bit off the beaten path near Cedar Lake is a lookout of sorts. Right beside it is a bunker which holds Joe’s lighter. Mind the snakes!
