How to Access the Confluence in the Dreaming City of Destiny 2
The Dreaming City in Destiny 2: Forsaken is filled with secrets and activities. Whether you’re competing in the new Blind Well horde mode activity or searching for Ascendant Chests, you’ll spend hours exploring. Perhaps one of the most intriguing and beautiful areas in all of Destiny is the Confluence, and this guide will show you how to access it.
The Confluence is an area of the Dreaming City that can only be accessed via one of three Taken Portals. It can serve as a bit of a shortcut system in a region where there is only one Transmat zone available. More importantly, it is home to at least one Ascendant Chest and is one of Bungie’s most visually stunning areas ever created.
There’s no doubt in my mind that we will discover many more secrets and bits of lore about The Confluence. Rumors about it being the starting point to the Last Wish raid are already abound.
How to Access The Confluence
To access The Confluence area, Guardians must merely step through a Taken Portal. There are three of them in specific regions of the Dreaming City. Credit to Wampa9090 from Reddit for taking these screenshots.
Rheasilvia Taken Portal
This portal is located deep inside the temple at the northern part of the Rheasilvia region. You’ll need to travel all the way to the edge and drop down into the lower area. If you head to the area opposite of the two Ahamkara Skull vendors, you’ll find the portal.
Gardens of Esila Taken Portal
The Gardens of Esila area is a beautiful area of the Dreaming City if you don’t mind being assaulted by Taken and Scorn on a nonstop basis.
Spine of Keres Taken Portal
Finally, the Spine of Keres Taken Portal takes you to the western-most area of the Dreaming City.
About The Confluence
While not much is known about The Confluence and its purpose, one thing we know for sure is that it’s a hauntingly beautiful place to visit. Just have a look at these screenshots and then visit it for yourself!
