One thing I like about Destiny 2: Forsaken is that it has given us some long-term goals. One of those is to get the Luna’s Howl Hand Cannon. Locked away in a vault somewhere by mean old Shaxx, he will only hand them out to people who prove they are a step above the competition. In this guide, I’ll take you through the steps you need to follow to get your hands on this very serious Hand Cannon.

Luna’s Howl Replica

For people who managed to get their hands on the weapon, Bungie has also sweetened the deal. People who do manage to unlock it will have the chance to purchase a 1:4 scale replica of the weapon through Bungie Rewards. Read on to find out what you need to do to be able to buy this beauty.

Luna’s Howl Quest

First up, head to Shaxx in the Tower and grab the “Shock and Denial” Pursuit. This quest is the start of your road to the Luna’s Howl. After that, follow the steps outlined below.

  • Complete ten competitive matches. (loses will still count towards your progress)
  • Kill 150 enemies in the competitive playlist with Hand Cannons
  • Get 200 Solar kills in the competitive playlist
  • Complete 3 Rumble matches
  • Get 100 precision kills using Hand Cannons in competitive
  • Reach the rank of “Fabled” in the Glory enabled playlist
  • Return to Shaxx for your Luna’s Howl

What makes this quest quite tough is that you can lose rank in the competitive playlist. Losses will cost you Glory, so the road to your Fabled rank can be long and arduous. How exactly you go about your time in the competitive playlist is really up to you. I know some people who like to go in with some trusted teammates, while others swear by going in solo.

If you do make a serious effort to go after the Luna’s Howl, you more than likely know what works best for you. If you need help with any other aspect of Destiny 2, be sure to check out our comprehensive Guide Hub.
