New to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 are operator mods. Black Ops 4 operator mods are special attachments that change the inherent properties of a gun. For example, you can add incendiary damage to a shotgun or improve the fire rate of an assault rifle. They can turn otherwise lackluster weapons into formidable beasts.
How To Unlock Black Ops 4 Operator Mods
To unlock the operator mods in Black Ops 4, you need to upgrade each weapon to the max level. It’s important to note that not every single gun has an operator mod, but we’ve got the operator mods list at the end of this guide.
To equip an operator mod once you’ve unlocked it, navigate to the Wildcard section of the menu. Add either the “Primary Operator Mod” or “Secondary Operator Mod” to your class depending on which gun you want the operator mod on. Then head to the attachments for that gun, and you’ll be able to select the correct operator mod. Be aware that it takes up two attachment slots though, so you’re going all in if you equip one.

Best Operator Mods Black Ops 4
There are a few standout operator mods here. Both of the shotgun ones are awesome; the MOG 12’s Dragon Breath adds incendiary damage over time with each shot, while the Strobe Light on the SG12 partially blinds any enemies you aim at. The Mozu’s Skull Splitter means any headshot with the gun is an insta-kill, while the Cordite’s Belt Feed essentially turns it into a mini-chain gun with a continuous ammo feed. Watch out though as it can overheat. Also, the Bolt Cylinder on the Outlaw means each shot is now a burst. A literal burst-firing sniper rifle. How awesome is that?!
