One of the first things you need to do in Black Ops 4 IX is unlock the Death of Orion. Here’s exactly how to get the Death of Orion IX in Black Ops 4 Zombies then upgrade it to the Serket’s Kiss which is a more powerful version of the weapon.
Death Of Orion IX Black Ops 4 Zombies
Death of Orion is a wonder weapon in Black Ops 4 Zombies, with some very convoluted steps. Here’s our Death of Orion IX guide.
- Unlock Pack-a-Punch. If you’re not sure how to get the Pack-a-Punch machine, follow our guide here.
- Go to the Danu/Ra temple entrance.
- Locate a bowl of fire behind a grate and shoot it.
4. Go to the bridge of the temple then look for some fire in the shape of an arrow – it directs you to where you need to go next. You’re looking for a specific temple that contains a statue head. Here are the four potential spawns:
- Ra – Bottom floor behind a flaming bowl
- Danu – Bottom floor in the water
- Zeus – Bottom floor, corner of the bath beneath some curtains
- Odin – Next to the big cauldron
5. Head to any of the tower entrances and build the acid trap. There are a few steps to that so if you’re unsure of doing it, make sure you’re following our IX Acid Trap guide.
6. Place the head you picked up on the grate below the trap, then turn on the trap.
7. Once the trap stops, pick up the key.
8. Now you have to build up your crowd affinity. The easiest way to do this is to basically kill zombies without getting hit. You’ll know you have good crowd affinity when the symbol in the bottom left of your HUD has green sparks. You can also earn crowd affinity by completing challenges then meleeing the reward on the podium rather than picking it up – the crowd likes it when you don’t take the rewards.
9. Confetti will explode in spawn when the gold vase has dropped in the spawn area. Pick it up.
10. Go to the Danu temple and head down to the Arboretum then melee attack the tree with a small hole in it to insert the scorpion key you picked up from the Acid Trap.
11. Place the golden vase at the base of the tree. Poison will start to leak out and fill up the pot. Note that this takes an entire round to complete.
12. When you pick up the vase filled with poison, go and find the mystery box.
13. Poison the mystery box.
14. Purchase the mystery box, and it will reward you with the Death of Orion weapon.
Bonus Step: Pack-a-Punch the Death of Orion to get Serket’s Kiss, an upgraded version of the Death of Orion.
