Fragmented Souls are an uncommon currency item introduced with the Festival of the Lost event. They are required to purchase exclusive rewards from Amanda Holliday in the Tower. Where exactly they come from and whether or not enough fragments can recreate your actual soul after you’ve sold it to Bungie, is unknown.

There are two main methods of acquiring Fragmented Souls. The first involves completing bounties from Amanda Holliday. She has several daily festival bounties and one weekly bounty. Most of her daily bounties will only yield a single Fragmented Soul, but the weekly bounty will reward you with a whopping 40 Fragmented Souls. This is good news for those saving up to purchase the Horror Story auto rifle for 120 Fragmented Souls.

The other way of earning Fragmented Souls is by participating in the new Haunted Forest activity. Fortunately, many of Amanda’s bounties require you to head there anyway, so you’ll kill two birds with one stone. Each time you clear a branch in the Haunted Forest, you receive a Fragmented Soul, and if you clear all five branches and make it to the reward chest, you’ll earn even more.

So put on your favorite Festival of the Lost mask, grab some bounties from Amanda Holliday, and visit the Haunted Forest. You’ll soon be swimming in Fragmented Souls! For more guides about the Festival of the Lost, visit our Destiny 2 Guide Hub.
