To obtain the Blood of the Dead wonder weapon known as the Magmagat, you need to race a time trial. Here’s how to get the Blood of the Dead Magmagat.
When you obtain the Blood of the Dead wonder weapon called the Blundergat, you can upgrade it to either the Acidgat or the Magmagat. The Blood of the Dead Magmagat is a fire version of the base weapon that deals much more damage than the normal Blundergat, and this guide will detail how to get the Magmagat on Blood of the Dead in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies. You need to find a series of parts to get the Blundergat upgrade so here’s how you can get the Magmagat on Blood of the Dead.
Blood of the Dead Magmagat Upgrade – Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies
The first thing you need to do is get the Blundergat. It makes sense really. If you’ve no idea how to get the Blundergat on Blood of the Dead, follow our guide for that here.
Once you’ve got the Blundergat, you need to stay in the Warden’s House and place the Blundergat in the fireplace. From there, kill zombies inside the house to make them drop essence – simply walk over the essence to collect it (for once you don’t need to interact with it).
Eventually, once you’ve collected enough essence, the three skulls above the fireplace will light up. Interact with the skulls to deposit all of the collected essences. This will turn the fireplace blue, and the Blundergat will reappear as the Tempered Blundergat. Do not fire the gun! Picking up the weapon will start a time trial. You need to rush to six different flaming barrels and interact with them all. Here are the locations of the Magmagat barrels:
- Eagle Plaza
- Michigan Avenue
- Times Square
- Recreation Yard
- West Grounds
- New Industries
The barrels aren’t too difficult to find, you should be able to see them in each area visibly. This GIF shows the optimal route to take, courtesy of the /r/CODZombies subreddit. When you get to New Industries, and you’ve interacted with the final barrel, place your Tempered Blundergat into the machine/compactor. This will turn your Tempered Blundergat into the fabled Blood of the Dead Magmagat. The best thing about this is that you don’t need to follow these steps each time someone else in your game wants the Magmagat – all you need to do is have that person place it into the compactor. Nifty, right?
