You will have to visit your campsite and locate your tent and wardrobe chest to equip it. We recommend that you save it as one of your custom outfits and save it to your horse as well, so you can quickly change into it while out and about.

Why Rockstar Games didn’t just make the black duster coat available as a choice in shops and mark is as owned, as it does with any other color, is unclear, but perhaps it is to signify the uniqueness of the black duster coat.
