In Pokemon Let’s Go, you can have one more of your Pokemon outside of its ball, along with either Pikachu or Eevee depending on which version of the game you own. Did you know that you can actually ride on some of them though? That’s right – if the Pokemon is large enough and is in this list of rideable Pokemon in Pokemon Let’s Go, then you can let it out and hop aboard to give your legs a rest. Of course, some of these are Water-type Pokemon, so they’re only able to ride on bodies of water, but it’s still pretty cool.

Rideable Pokemon In Pokemon Let’s Go

Here’s the full list of Pokemon you can ride in Pokemon Let’s Go in alphabetical order.

  • Aerodactyl
  • Arcanine
  • Charizard
  • Dodrio
  • Dragonite
  • Gyarados (Water)
  • Haunter
  • Kangaskhan
  • Lapras (Water)
  • Machamp
  • Onix
  • Persian
  • Rapidash
  • Rhyhorn
  • Rhydon
  • Snorlax
  • Starmie
  • Tauros

Impressively, despite being a Water-type, you can ride Starmie on land. It doesn’t use its pointed star parts to walk along as you’d expect though… it floats in the air. How? That’s not for us to question.

Our favorite is definitely Onix though; you climb up him and sit on his enormous head as he slithers around like a huge Rock-type snake. Unfortunately, despite Haunter letting you cling on to the back of its head, you can’t ride Gengar. Machamp is also incredibly cute, using his upper arms to hold on to your legs, along with carrying either Pikachu or Eevee in his big strong arms.

It’s worth noting that some Pokemon move slower when you ride them, notably Snorlax. The enormous chunkster isn’t exactly expected to move quickly, but as you hang on to its stomach for dear life, it casually plods its way around. Kangaskhan is another cute one, letting you sit on its shoulder while placing Pikachu or Eevee in its pouch next to its child.

If you opt for a flying Pokemon like Charizard, Aerodactyl, or Dragonite, you also gain the ability to soar over some smaller buildings like the Game Corner in Celadon City. Have you found and caught Mewtwo yet?
