If you play Fire Emblem Heroes, you can get a free promo gift of Hero Byleth: Tested Professor if you purchase Fire Emblem: Three Houses. In this guide we show you how.
If you play Fire Emblem Heroes and purchased Fire Emblem: Three Houses, you can get a nice promo gift in the form of Hero Byleth: Tested Professor. The most important thing to know when doing this is that both games must use the same Nintendo Account. If you get Three Houses with a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher, then the Nintendo Account used to purchase the voucher must be the same as the Nintendo Account you link to Fire Emblem Heroes.
The Nintendo website also has two important notes that you need to know:
- Players in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Peru, and Hong Kong must purchase the digital version of Three Houses to be able to receive this promotional gift.
- Players who purchase Three Houses in countries or regions where Nintendo eShop is unavailable will not be able to collect this promotional gift.
How to Obtain the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Promo Gift in Fire Emblem Heroes
Step 1
Confirm that the same Nintendo Account is linked to both you Nintendo Switch system and Fire Emblem Heroes. Make sure your Fire Emblem Heroes is on at least version 3.7.0. From the menu at the bottom of the screen, tap Misc. and then Account Management. The e-mail address of the linked Nintendo Account will be displayed in the upper part of the screen under Nintendo Account.
To confirm on your Switch, follow the below steps:
- Select the user whose Nintendo Account information you want to confirm from those available in the upper-left part of the HOME Menu, and then open their User Page.
- From the User Page, select User Settings.
- Check Nintendo Account Settings.
- If the Link Nintendo Account option is displayed, then the account is currently not linked to a Nintendo Account. Choose Link Nintendo Account to do so.
Step 2
Purchase Fire Emblem Heroes. Purchase either a physical or a digital version, be mindful of the two highlighted in the opening section, and make sure you purchase it with the same linked account as Fire Emblem Heroes.
Step 3
To get Hero Byleth: Tested Professor, you need to be able to earn Gold Points.
Since Gold Points are earned automatically, you do not need to follow any special procedures, and you may proceed to Step 4. If you purchased the digital version of the game using only Gold Points, then you will not be eligible to earn Gold Points, but you will still be able to receive Byleth: Tested Professor as a promotional gift. Proceed to Step 4.
If you redeemed a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher, then Gold Points are earned automatically upon purchase of the voucher, you do not need to follow any special procedures, and you may proceed to Step 4.
Finally, if you purchased the physical version, insert the Three Houses game card into your Nintendo Switch system, highlight the Three Houses icon on the HOME Menu, and then press the + button to bring up the Options screen. From there, select My Nintendo Rewards Program, and choose Earn Points.
This is an essential piece of information, only those who have purchased Three Houses and have earned Gold Points by June 29, 2020, will be able to receive the promotional gift.
Step 4
Hero Byleth: Test Professor should appear in your game, but it might take a couple of days. Open Heroes on your device and tap on Present List, then click on Byleth to accept the promo gift.
