Tusk Thumper Doma spawn locations

Warframe

On the map above, we have marked currently known Tusk Thumper spawn locations with red icons.

To get a Tusk Thumper Doma to spawn, you need to be in a mission of the appropriate level. If you go to the Plains of Eidolon in free roam, only the standard Tusk Thumper will spawn. To get the Tusk Thumper Doma to spawn, you will need to be in a Level 5 Bounty. Just visit Konzu at Cetus, grab the Level 5 Bounty, then head out to the Plains. This will give you the best chance of spawning the Doma instead of the lesser Tusk Thumpers.

Because Tusk Thumpers are random encounters, they can potentially spawn when you come within a certain distance of these points. The easiest way to find a Tusk Thumper is to use your Archwing to fly to the Tusk Thumper spawn locations and see if one spawns in. If it doesn’t, just move on to the next location. It shouldn’t take too long for one to show up at first, but after that, you have a potential 3-minute cool down until the next one can spawn.

How to kill the Tusk Thumper Doma

The Tusk Thumper Doma is heavily armored and will not take any damage if you shoot it in the body. You will need to shoot the armor plates off the knees, exposing a weak glowing spot. There are four weak spots, one on each leg, and each one represents a quarter of the machine’s health.

The Tusk Thumper Doma is made from Alloy Armor, so you want to do Radiation, Cold, or Puncture damage. Radiation is the most effective damage type against the Doma. You can get Radiation damage on any weapon by mixing Heat and Electrical damage mods. Magnetic, Slash, and Electric damage all have reduced effectiveness against Alloy Armor, so definitely don’t use any of those damage types.

We would recommend using a Catchmoon against it, as we have found them to tear these enemies to pieces when modded with the right damage. The Tusk Thumper is an awkward fight due to its high health and mobility. It will leap around, making it hard to hit. If you want, bring a Rhino along, and his Stomp will lock the Tusk Thumper in place, allowing you to put damage on it easily. Just stay patient and chip away at the health.

It is also much easier to do this as a group, so if you are a solo player, it might be a good idea to hit up the Recruiting chat and find a group that’s going hunting for the Tusk Thumper Doma.
