Remnant: From the Ashes – How To Reroll the Campaign Guide

For those who want a brand new experience while they’re playing Remnant: From the Ashes with a brand new world, here’s how you reroll the current campaign you’re playing

Starting a new game in Remnant: From the Ashes works a bit differently than it does in traditional games. For starters, you can take your character from an existing game and start a brand new run with all of the gear they have on them. But don’t run in thinking you’re going to know every turn and corner you’re going to go through when you begin. Things are going to work differently because the game gets procedurally generated. You’re going to encounter different items and enemies in old locations and find familiar items and enemies in new ones.

Rerolling the Campaign in Remnant: From the Ashes

Return to Ward 13

When you’re ready to reroll your campaign, the first thing you need to do is head back to Ward 13. You’ll want to finish up whatever quest or goal you’ve set yourself out on because once you reroll the campaign, you can’t pick it back up again until you discover it in your new world.

The Red Stone

When you’ve decided you’re ready to pack up the campaign you’ve set out on and start over, go over to the red stone in Ward 13. Approach the mysterious object to interact with it. You’re going to pull up a menu with numerous different world settings you can change. But the big setting you’re interested in is located at the bottom of this menu. You’re going to see it as ‘reroll.’ Click on this, and the entire world should start over from the beginning as if you had fired up the game for the first time.

What happens?

While the entire world does change, your character and gear remain the same. Your character has the same stats, weapons, armor, and any other item you had on you when you rerolled the world. When you leave Ward 13, things are going to be different. You’re going to notice new locations, new enemies, and you’re going to find new items than you did during your first playthrough.

For those who are rerolling the world because of the difficulty, make sure you alter the game’s difficulty in the World Settings menu, found on the Red Stone. If you want a harder, more challenging experience for your New Game Plus run, this is the time to make sure things get ramped up and become complicated.
